Wild Card Weekend – Day 2

Today we have three games, with one more tomorrow to round out Wild Card Weekend. The Raiders kept it close in the heartbreaking end to their season yesterday. The Bengals looked good, even without the help from the officials. Now I can root for them without guilt. The Bills jumped on the Patriots early and took care of that game easily. My parlay, nor the Pod’s hit, but we did get the Super Boost.

We hear from the other side of the league today with two NFC games. The Eagles have the worst record against playoff teams at 0-6 facing off against last year’s Super Bowl champs the Bucs. The 49ers and Cowboys are an exciting matchup this afternoon. Then back to the AFC this evening to see if Big Ben can pull off the upset and live to play another day.

Eagles vs Bucs

I’m happy for the Eagles and coach Sirianni for making the playoffs, but I expect Tom to take care of business today. It’s a matchup of veteran QB vs one of the young guys. The Eagles did keep it close when the teams met this season and the Bucs aren’t as healthy along with just losing AB. It could stay close, but it takes quite a bit to best the GOAT.

49ers vs Cowboys

The 49ers upset the Rams in week 18 but the Rams clinched the top spot in the division anyways with a Cardinals loss to the Seahawks. They had a slow start this year but have been performing well as of late with Jimmy Garappolo ready to go. The Cowboys on the other hand won their division and went undefeated against those teams and 10-2 in their conference, but only 3-4 against other playoff teams. The Cowboys have also performed better away which they will not be today. I picked the upset because I’m not sure if the Cowboys are the real deal. They have been one of the highest scoring teams this season, we’ll see if they can get it done today.

Today’s parlay will be for this game. Deebo seems like a promising bet, being the 49ers number one playmaker. I want to add Kittle yards again, even though he didn’t get much last week which killed that parlay too. Another fellow Iowa Hawkeye, Micah Hyde, had a good game last night with a pick in the endzone. Iowa is the college with the sixth most players in playoff games this weekend. Round it out with Dak alternative yards. The over under is pretty steep at 51.5 since the Cowboys tend to have high scoring games.

Steelers vs Chiefs

This evening we will see a meeting of two large and historic fanbases. The Steelers were a long shot to even be in the playoffs, let’s see if they can keep it rolling for Roethlisberger. JuJu Smith-Schuster was activated as well which could help. It just depends on which version of the Chiefs we get and if the Steelers duct tape can last.
